Edward is buried on 24 Oct. 1944 at Henri-Chapelle American War Cemetery, Plot T, Row 2, Grave 33. He died on the same date as PVT Joseph J. Czernia. Possibly they were on patrol together. Both served on the 18th infantry regt. / 1st Infantry Division Co. “D”. PVT Joseph J. Czernia is buried at Henri-Chapelle

In a letter of 18 Nov. 1947 to the war department father Albert asked for return of their son to Pawtucket. Post

His body is shipped on May 1948 from Antwerp to New York and by train to Providence. “Rebello Funeral Home at Providence did take care of his body but rented Burns Funeral Home, Weeden Street, around the corner from Eddies house because the family wanted him close”, so Mrs. Lou Massor said. Edward is buried on May 1948 at St. Mary’s Cemetery Pawtucket, RI

The VFW Post at Pawtucket is named to the late Privates Stanley Dusza and Edward Almeida from Pawtucket who died in the WW2. The VFW Dusza - Almeida Post. The USA flag which covered his coffin is framed and hangs on the wall in the Post.

His name is on the Memorial in Providence, RI , South Mainstreet.

Sgt. Stanley Dusza is born on May, 8 , 1910 and died on June, 18, 1944 near St. Lo, France. He is buried on July, 29, 1944 in a temporary grave at La Camba Cemetery, France.
He found his final place of rest on Dec. 1944 at Colleville sur Mer American Cemetery, France. Plot: H, Row:13, Grave: 36.
