LUXEMBOURG AMERICAN CEMETERY AND MEMORIAL

American Cemetery and Memorial in Luxembourg is located in Hamm, just 3 miles (5 kilometres) east of Luxembourg city. The cemetery contains 5076 graves and 371 names in the Walls of the Missing. Most of these men died during Ardennes offensive also known as “The Battle of the Bulge”. George Patton is also buried here on a separate part overlooking his men.

There is also a German cemetery close by. Signs on the road will lead you to it.

Hamm

The cemetery is open daily to the public from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. except December 25 and January 1. It is open on host country holidays. When the cemetery is open to the public, a staff member is on duty in the Visitor Building to answer questions and escort relatives to grave and memorial sites.
